INTRODUCTION TO INSTITUTE OF ADMINISTRATION AND COMMERCE (IAC)
The IAC is a Professional Accounting & Management Institute. Established in 1927, it is registered as a Section 21 company, Registration No. 1981/0011981/08. The Institute has applied to be registered as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) in terms of Section 30 of the Income tax Act. It is fully self-funded and conducts its business from its Head Office in Cape Town.
In terms of Section 60 of the Close Corporations Act, No. 69 of 1984, certain categories of members are allowed to register as Accounting Officers.
In terms of Section 6 of the Justice of the Peace and Commissioner of Oaths Act, No. 16 of 1963, all registered Accounting Officers with the Institute are ex-officio Commissioner of Oaths.
WHAT IS IAC
As a professional accounting and management institute, the IAC maintains a register of members and applies its code of ethics and professional conduct. To promote formal learning in the arena in which it seeks to maintain standards of professional excellence. The IAC has membership centers in Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Kimberley. Members centers arrange seminars, conferences, meetings and social events for the benefit of members and students.

LYCEUM MANAGEMENT DIPLOMA: GENERAL MANAGEMENT
(NQF 5/6 - 320 Credits) This qualification is recognised by the Institute of Administration and Commerce (IAC).
This qualification offers the student an overview of general management within any organisation. (NQF 5/6 - 240 Credits) This qualification is recognised by the Institute of Administration and Commerce (IAC).
